Overview
Industry Technical Consultant at Nalco Water leads practical expertise in closed loop systems to support field teams and customers. You will troubleshoot thermal management challenges and translate chemistry, materials compatibility, and heat transfer into actionable recommendations. You’ll drive innovation, train audiences, and validate new technologies across Europe. This role offers remote work with substantial travel, a chance to influence sustainability, and close collaboration with sales, R&D, and marketing.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams on technical opportunities
- Support direct-to-chip liquid cooling projects within the closed loop portfolio
- Understand customer requirements and provide training and optimized operational solutions
- Lead root cause analysis to resolve application issues at sites
- Assess water treatment programs and quantify potential efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on innovation from ideation to launch
- Lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials and market trials
- Deliver value by solving problems and driving innovative results
- Facilitate training for associates and customers; mentor colleagues in processes and technologies
Key requirements
- Demonstrable technical expertise in closed loop systems and water treatment
- Ability to apply chemistry, materials compatibility, fluid selection, heat transfer, and automation concepts
- Excellent communication and coaching abilities
- Willingness to travel throughout Europe
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Chemistry or Microbiology) preferred
- 5+ years experience in closed loop water treatment or related cooling/heat transfer applications
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
