Senior Finance Business Partner

Overview

In this Finance Business Partner role, you will shape Wise’s financial growth by building planning and cost frameworks, partnering with senior stakeholders, and delivering insights to guide decisions. You’ll own forecasting for headcount and operating costs, enabling sustainable growth and customer value. You’ll develop models and reports to analyse the cost base, highlight risks and opportunities, and craft narratives for leadership reporting. This is a high-impact role that blends analysis, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leads to inform long-term planning and decision-making
• Drive planning processes and forecast accuracy for headcount and operating costs
• Build models and reports to analyse cost base and identify risks/opportunities
• Provide deep-dive analyses on key metrics and variance to forecast
• Communicate results to stakeholders and leadership with clear narrative

Key requirements

• Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and acting as trusted advisor
• Extensive financial modelling experience (ideally with planning tools like Anaplan) and cost analysis ownership
• Experience establishing policies, cost controls, and monitoring spend for sustainable growth
• Experience forecasting headcount
• Professional finance qualification such as ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent with IFRS knowledge

• Strong communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders
