Solution Architect RFID & Retail Technology

Overview

As Solution Architect (RFID) you will design and deliver RFID solutions that improve inventory accuracy, stock visibility and operational efficiency across Primark’s global retail estate. You’ll work with business, product and engineering teams to shape scalable architectures that support growth and deliver measurable business value. You will provide technical leadership and governance throughout delivery and ensure security, performance and resilience. This is an opportunity to influence how RFID enables world‑class retail operations at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RFID solution design aligned to business needs and enterprise standards
• Create and maintain architectures, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Provide architectural governance and technical leadership across delivery life cycle
• Collaborate with business, product and engineering teams to define scalable tech solutions
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, resilience and scalability requirements
• Evaluate technologies, vendors and options, and manage technical risks
• Support implementation and integration of RFID capabilities across retail and supply chain platforms

Key requirements

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale enterprises
• Proven RFID solution design and delivery experience in retail or supply chain
• Deep knowledge of retail tech, inventory management and stock visibility
• Experience integrating RFID with enterprise applications and operational systems
• Solid understanding of solution architecture principles, frameworks and best practices
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to balance business priorities with technical delivery in complex environments
