SAP Solution Architect / Lead Consultant

Overview

In this role you will drive SAP strategy and delivery for strategic engagements across the UK and Ireland. You act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business needs into scalable SAP solutions and leading cross-functional delivery. You’ll shape roadmaps, oversee multi-site initiatives and guide teams through SAP S/4HANA implementations and optimisations. This position blends solution architecture, functional leadership and account management within a dynamic, client‑facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior SAP advisor and primary client contact
• Build relationships with business, technology and programme stakeholders
• Manage requirements, priorities and delivery resources
• Oversee engagement pipeline, utilisation and future client needs
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships
• Lead solution assessments and end-to-end SAP solution design
• Translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions
• Provide functional leadership across SAP domains
• Define solution roadmaps aligned with strategy and best practices
• Support S/4HANA implementation, migration, optimisation and continuous improvement
• Prepare statements of work and delivery estimates
• Lead functional workstreams across design, configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure quality of deliverables
• Manage risks, dependencies and issues
• Support knowledge transfer and long-term client capability development
• Mentor SAP consultants and contribute to capability development
• Support proposals, client presentations and pre-sales activities

Key requirements

• Significant experience as an SAP Solution Architect / Lead Consultant
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and enterprise SAP environments
• Deep expertise in one or more SAP functional domains (Finance & Controlling; Procurement & Materials Management; Sales & Distribution; Supply Chain & Logistics; Manufacturing; Warehouse Management; Asset Management; Human Capital Management; Customer Experience)
• Experience delivering SAP implementation, transformation or optimisation programmes
• Strong business process design and solution architecture understanding
• Experience in complex, multi-site or international organisations
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
