Project Procurement Specialist

Overview

In this role you support national security through strategic procurement for Royal Navy submarine programmes at Devonport. You own supply chain strategy and delivery for major maintenance projects, working with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders. You’ll drive timely, safe acquisition of materials and subcontract services while improving performance and governance. The opportunity combines hands-on procurement with cross-functional impact in a large, complex engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement and supply chain activities for assigned submarine programme projects
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for materials and subcontracted services
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support project delivery
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements across quality, cost and delivery objectives
• Support commercial and procurement governance activities while ensuring compliance with business requirements

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management
• Experience managing supplier relationships within complex project environments
• Experience supporting supply chain planning, execution and performance management
