Overview

In this role you report on the European private credit market for Debtwire, delivering breaking news and in-depth analysis. You will join a team of journalists and analysts in London, shaping coverage from issuance to stress scenarios. You’ll explore investor sentiment, market trends, and private credit activity for M&A, refinancing, and growth. This role combines fast, daily reporting with longer-form investigations and cross-functional projects. You’ll contribute to shaping market understanding in a globally active media and analytics team.

Responsibilities

• Report, write, and file daily copy
• Create in-depth, substantive articles
• Contribute to conferences, databases, webinars, and podcasts
• Develop coverage beyond assigned beats
• Cultivate sources and build relationships
• Travel within the region as needed

Key requirements

• Minimum two years of debt markets coverage
• Private credit and/or leveraged loans reporting a plus
• M&A reporting experience a plus
• Strong writing and investigative mindset
