Water Networks Modeller

Overview

In this role you will deliver clean water modelling to plan, operate and optimise water distribution networks. You join Stantec’s national water modelling team, collaborating with engineers, digital specialists and asset managers on AMP8 projects. You will build and calibrate hydraulic models, interpret results and support leakage reduction and resilience through evidence-based solutions. This is a hands-on role with mentoring and exposure to cutting-edge digital technologies, offering clear opportunities to advance your technical career.

Responsibilities

• Develop, calibrate and analyse hydraulic network models using industry-standard software
• Support projects focused on network optimisation, pressure management, leakage reduction and asset performance
• Interpret model results to develop practical, evidence-based engineering solutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across modelling, digital, asset management and design
• Contribute to technical reports and project deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality
• Continue developing your technical capability with the support of experienced colleagues and mentors

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related discipline
• Experience working on water network modelling projects
• Experience using hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
