As Site Civil Area Business Class Lead, you guide the Civil Engineering business class within HDR’s Building Engineering Services group. You drive technical excellence, people development, and efficient project delivery to support growth and client service. You lead cross-functional collaboration with regional leaders and Project Managers to shape site civil strategies and outcomes. Your role blends leadership, planning, and constancy of quality to advance HDR’s employee-owned culture and mission. Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Civil Engineering business class
• Mentor, recruit, and develop staff including performance management
• Coordinate resources and workloads to support project delivery
• Monitor budgets, schedules, utilization, and delivery performance
• Support forecasting, business planning, and proposal development
• Promote technical excellence, quality, and consistency across the team
• Collaborate with regional and area leaders to support objectives and growth

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a related field
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent accreditation
• Experience leading and developing diverse teams
• Strong people management, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational, technical, and business leaders
• Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values
• Desire to grow within HDR’s Officers, Professional Associates, and Associates Programme
