We’re looking for a Junior Estimator to join an established construction / manufacturing business, supporting customers with bespoke solutions from initial enquiry through to quotation.
This is a varied role combining estimating, technical drawings, supplier pricing and business development, with the opportunity to develop product knowledge and build long-term customer relationships.
What you’ll be doing as an Estimator
- Managing the full estimating process, from reviewing enquiries and technical drawings through to preparing accurate, competitive quotations.
- Sourcing and negotiating costs with suppliers and supporting procurement.
- Building relationships with existing customers and developing new business opportunities.
- Responding to customer enquiries, identifying opportunities and providing excellent customer service.
- Developing product knowledge of retaining walls, precast concrete and manufacturing processes.
- Attending customer meetings, site visits and industry events.
What we’re looking for in this Estimator role
- Some exposure to estimating, ideally within construction, manufacturing, precast concrete or building products.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare project quotations.
- Commercial awareness, with an understanding of costs, pricing and profitability.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to customer service and business development.
- Good organisation, accuracy and the ability to manage deadlines.
