In this role you help shape Citi’s next-generation Securities Settlements Stock Record platform, designed for high trade volumes and real-time reporting. You will work within Citi Tech, collaborating with business and technology leaders across NAM and EMEA to deliver scalable, secure software that reduces risk and improves data quality. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot
- Develop frontend SPAs with Angular/React
- Model and manage Oracle relational databases with performance and data integrity in mind
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development activities
- Ensure code quality, test coverage, and adherence to Citi standards
- Containerize workloads with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Tekton, or Harness and enforce security scanning
- Conduct feasibility studies, architectural planning, and SDLC governance
- Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and document technical decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and manage risk per governance frameworks
Key requirements
- Full-stack development experience
- Proficiency in Java J2EE, Spring stack
- Hands-on SQL with Oracle
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with code reviews, security, and vulnerability remediation
- Ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments
- Experience with AI-driven workflows is a plus
