Senior Commercial/Procurement Manager

Overview

In this permanent role, you will lead procurement and commercial activities to maximise contract value and client satisfaction. You will drive end-to-end contract management, risk and performance oversight, and governance within a security-cleared environment. You’ll shape commercial strategy, lead negotiations, and support business transformation through stakeholder engagement. This position offers impact across contracts, supplier performance, and continuous improvement, contributing to robust governance and value-led procurement.

Key requirements

• Applied knowledge of procurement principles with experience in procurement, contract management and/or contract placement (sourcing)
• Ability to identify suitable commercial approaches, assess trade-offs and required risk mitigation
• Understanding and applying programme, portfolio and project management tools
• Taking ownership at tender evaluation stage and applying commercial judgement
• Development and assurance of business cases, commercial strategies, and contracting approaches
• Development and implementation of effective contract and supplier management strategies to maximize value
• Proactively monitor supplier performance and drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Experience leading teams and providing strategic direction
• Ability to engage with clients on complex issues and chair meetings with senior stakeholders
