Job Description Thornbury is moving forwards — and this is a great time to join! n With exciting investment in the golf course and ambitious plans for the future, we’re looking for an energetic, people-focused Deputy Course Manager to be part of the journey. n Working alongside the Course Manager, you’ll help lead the greenkeeping team, support our golfers and ensure the course continues to develop and deliver a fantastic experience. n We’re looking for someone who brings fun, ambition, collaboration and trust to everything they do — someone who wants to make their mark, develop their skills and be part of something that’s going places. What we’re looking for n n Level 2 and/or above qualification in Greenkeeping or an equivalent recognised qualification, providing the core operational foundation for the role. n Relevant experience within golf course greenkeeping, with the ability to support and lead day-to-day course operations. n Appropriate pesticide-handling certification, with recognised certificates relevant to the safe use and application of professional pesticides. n A strong understanding of turf management, course presentation, machinery and modern greenkeeping practices. n Good communication and people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and support the development of the greenkeeping team. n A positive, practical and proactive approach, with the ambition to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the course. n A commitment to health and safety, environmental responsibility and maintaining high professional standards. n n This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced greenkeeper looking to take the next step in their career and play an important role in Thornbury’s continued development. n The next chapter at Thornbury is underway.
