We are looking to appoint an Acting Head of Service to provide effective leadership and management of a range of customer and community focussed services that form part of Planning, Economic Development and Regeneration.
n
Your portfolio of services will include Climate Change, Economic Development and Regeneration, Planning Services, and Environmental Health and Trading Standards.
n
As Head of Service, you will be responsible for ensuring close links between physical planning priorities and needs of businesses and employment, and effective integration and co-ordination of resources across all services areas to reflect corporate priorities, values and business objectives of the council.
n
As a member of the council’s Corporate Management Team, you will contribute to the development and planning of the council’s overall strategic objectives and will have a considerable role to play in influencing its direction.
n
You will bring leadership, energy and vision and have a proven track record of success in managing a similar portfolio of services at a senior level. You will have strong stakeholder management, strategic partnership capability, and an unfaltering commitment to getting it right for our communities.

You will be an innovative thinker, focused on effective outcomes and capable of delivering business objectives through effective people, resource and financial management with a focus on continuous drive for improvement.
