Solicitor – Housebuilding & Development – Chippenham

Overview

In this role you will support a senior solicitor on high‑value development land matters and manage a varied caseload from instruction to completion. You will work within a specialist Development Land team known for collaboration, mentoring and quality work, contributing across site acquisitions, planning, and disposals. You will engage in affordable housing transactions, infrastructure agreements and supervise Plot Sales Conveyancers on technical matters. This position offers exposure to substantial schemes and year‑on‑year growth, with a clear opportunity to shape how development projects progress. Responsibilities

• Assist a senior solicitor on development land transactions from instruction to completion
• Support site acquisitions, including instructions, site visits, client advice and negotiating documents
• Work on affordable housing disposals, infrastructure agreements and overall site set up
• Assist and supervise Plot Sales Conveyancers on technical matters
• Handle diverse caseloads: option, promotion, strategic land assembly, conditional/unconditional sale agreements, planning agreements, development finance, infrastructure agreements
