GI/GU Consultant Radiologist

Overview

In this role you will provide comprehensive radiology services at the Royal Bolton Hospital, including standard imaging and subspecialty work in genitourinary and gastrointestinal imaging. You will collaborate with a friendly, multidisciplinary team and shape the radiology service through governance and teaching. The post offers a flexible, 7-day service with opportunities to expand SPA time and tailor the job plan to departmental needs. You will contribute to high-quality patient care and service development within the NHS framework.

Responsibilities

• General radiology reporting (plain film, ultrasound, CT, MRI)
• Subspecialty work in Genitourinary/GI imaging
• Participation in a 7-day service and on-call rota
• Formulate and modify the job plan with departmental needs
• Engage in teaching and service development
• Contribute to radiology governance and quality improvement

Key requirements

• GMC registration; FRCR or equivalent
• Within 6 months of completing CCT or on GMC Specialist Register eligibility
• Extensive experience in general radiology with ultrasound, CT and MRI
• On-call experience; NHS consultant experience preferred
