We are looking for a SeniorOccupational Therapist to join the team
PrioryHospital Newbury, Berkshire is a level 2 rehabilitation servicesupporting adult males with mental health needs, working towardscommunity reintegration. It is accessible by public transport, withlocal bus routes nearby including services to Reading andBasingstoke, and nearby train stations providing links intoLondon.
What you’ll bedoing
As a Senior OccupationalTherapist, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients rebuildtheir independence, develop essential life skills and achievemeaningful progress. Combining clinical expertise with leadership,you’ll deliver personalised therapy while supporting your team toprovide outstanding, person-centred care.
Youwill also:
- Deliver specialistoccupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored toindividual patient needs.
- Develop, implementand review person-centred treatment plans that promoteindependence, daily functioning and meaningful recoverygoals.
- Work collaboratively with themultidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical assessments, careplanning, risk management and decision-making.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance and supervision tojunior occupational therapists, students and the wider therapyteam.
- Maintain accurate clinical records andensure practice meets professional standards, Priory policies andbest practice guidelines.

What you’ll bring tothe role
Essentialfor the roleCandidates must be HCPCregistered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy, or a degree,honours degree, or Master’s in Occupational Therapy, or havecompleted formal postgraduate study (award or non-awardbearing).
You must also have priorexperience working in mental health services as a qualified memberof staff, experience supervising Occupational Therapists orOccupational Therapy Assistants and students, and training inrelevant models of practice such as MoHO, VdTMoCA, and SensoryIntegration.
