Manual Turner
We are seeking a skilled Manual Turner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate manual lathes to produce high-precision components, ensuring they meet strict specifications. Your mechanical expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful delivery of complex parts used in diverse industries.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
Set up and operate manual lathes to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to shape and finish metal or plastic parts with precision
Perform grinding, milling, and other machining processes as required for component refinement
Read and interpret CAD drawings, and technical documentation
Conduct quality checks using basic math skills and measurement tools to ensure parts meet tolerances
Assist with welding, assembly, or plastics injection molding tasks when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
Proven experience operating manual lathes or turning machines in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in grinding, milling, welding, and assembly processes
Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and tooling for machining tasks
Good understanding of safety procedures related to machining and manufacturing operations
