Your new company Excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Estimator to become part of a business delivering a diverse range of electrical projects across Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will be involved in pricing and tendering works across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, residential and refurbishment projects, supporting the business from initial enquiry through to contract award.
Projects delivered by the business include healthcare facilities, education buildings, commercial offices, industrial developments, residential schemes and public sector refurbishment works.
Your new role
- Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings and employer requirements.
- Carry out detailed electrical take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare competitive tender submissions within agreed deadlines.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.
- Assess project risks and commercial considerations during the bid process.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Attend tender review and pre-contract meetings where required.
- Support project handovers following successful tender awards.
- Maintain estimating records and historical cost data.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within an electrical contracting or building services environment.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of commercial, industrial and building services installations.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
