Are you a Skilled HGV Technician? If 'YES,' we want to hear from you! About the role: As a HGV Technician you will: Ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard in line with DVSA & Group requirements.
n
Carry out MOT preparation on Group assets.
n
Ensure that all inspection/service/defect paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
n
Ensure that high quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner.
n
Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
n
Support central engineering function in identifying failure trends.
n
Keep up to date with developments within the industry and understand changes that may impact the effective operation of the workshop.
n
Have an organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail Undertake manufacturer training courses as and when required.
n
Take ownership of personal development, seeking assistance & guidance from team leaders.
n
Be accountable for your own time, be efficient and proactive when working within the workshop.
n
Work as part of the wider team and assist others where needed.
n
Requirements: Qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, or proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar vehicle maintenance role.
n
Full UK Driving Licence.
n
A proven background in commercial vehicle repairs.
n
Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness standards.
n
C or C&E driving licence is desirable, but not essential.
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
