About the Role

We are currently looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our client’s team on a project in Millerhill, Edinburgh. The successful candidates will have a proven background in groundworks, with hands‑on experience in drainage and kerbing.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing drainage systems, including pipework, manholes and chambers
• Laying kerbs and edgings accurately and to the required levels
• Excavating and preparing ground, trenches and sub-bases
• Backfilling, compacting and reinstating as required
• Working from drawings, specifications and instructions from supervisors
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Complying with all health and safety procedures, including RAMS
• Working independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Groundworker
• Experience in drainage and kerbing installation
• Experience working on construction or civils sites
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and setting‑out information
• Good understanding of site health and safety
• Own hand tools
• Valid CSCS card (Groundworker or relevant card)
• Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship
• Plant tickets (e.g. 360 excavator, dumper) desirable but not essential
