Senior Procurement Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will shape procurement governance across BAE Systems to support compliant, efficient purchasing. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, governance activities and regulatory compliance for UK, US and EU requirements. You’ll gain exposure to audits, policy development and continuous improvement within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for procurement governance, providing guidance across the Procurement function
• Maintain risk-based assurance programmes and support internal reviews and external audits
• Conduct process assurance assessments, identify compliance gaps, and drive timely improvement actions
• Promote process simplification and continuous improvement while maintaining compliance
• Oversee governance documentation and SharePoint resources, ensuring accurate records and access controls

Key requirements

• Experience conducting internal assurance reviews and supporting external audit activities
• Understanding of governance frameworks, process controls, audit values and compliance requirements in a corporate setting
• Experience analyzing data, identifying trends and producing actionable reports
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with experience delivering presentations to diverse teams
