Forward Deployed Engineer FDE Python AWS

Overview

In this role you will deliver cloud-based Python AWS solutions for client bespoke projects, working closely with clients to own end-to-end delivery. You will join a growing tech scale-up building software that reduces para-legal workloads for legal firms. You’ll make technical decisions, work independently, and contribute to fast, impactful results. This position sits at the intersection of hands-on engineering and client-facing delivery in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead client bespoke development work end-to-end
• Build cloud-based applications and systems using Python and AWS
• Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders
• Make technical decisions and deliver results rapidly
• Operate with initiative in a small, growing team

Key requirements

• Client-facing experience and ownership of bespoke development
• Strong Python backend development skills (ideally FastAPI)
• Experience with AWS, including Amazon CDK
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles
• Full software development lifecycle experience and modern best practices
• Business acumen with startup/SME experience
• Proactive, contributing to the product
• Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Active GitHub account and/or personal projects (preferred)
