About the Role

We are currently looking for experienced Roof Tilers to join our client’s team on a project in Millerhill, Edinburgh. The successful candidates will have a strong, proven background in roof tiling, including the installation of timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work alongside roof tiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing roof tiles to a high standard, in line with specifications and drawings
• Fixing timber roof battens accurately and securely
• Installing GRP valleys
• Carrying out lead work, including flashings and associated detailing
• Ensuring all work is weather-tight and meets quality standards and deadlines
• Working safely at height, using scaffolding and access equipment
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Complying with all health and safety procedures, including RAMS
• Working independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Roof Tiler
• Experience installing timber roof battens, GRP valleys and lead work
• Experience working on residential, commercial or construction sites
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of working at height and site health and safety
• Own hand tools
• Valid CSCS card (Roofing or relevant card)
• Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship
