Technical Consultant – Data Migration

Overview

In this contract role, you will lead data migration activities for a large-scale HR transformation, delivering accurate migrations into target systems. You will work within a global delivery context, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and successful cutovers. You will design migration workflows, validate data, and produce documentation for business sign-off. This is an opportunity to shape HR data governance and enable a seamless transformation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data migration workflows and automation solutions
• Build and maintain data extraction, transformation, validation and reconciliation processes
• Develop data cleansing reports and periodic Data Quality Reports (DQRs)
• Monitor data quality metrics, identify defects and support remediation activities
• Support data extraction from SAP SuccessFactors, SAP, legacy HR systems and third-party applications
• Validate data for completeness, accuracy and consistency across migration cycles
• Support mock loads, testing, cutover activities and production migrations
• Prepare technical documentation, validation evidence and reporting for business sign-off

Key requirements

• Experience in data migration, data conversion or system implementation projects
• Strong SQL, data analysis and reporting skills
• Experience with ETL, workflow or data integration tools
• Strong understanding of data quality management, validation and reconciliation
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse large datasets
• Excellent analytical, technical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP HR systems would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI or similar reporting and automation tools would be beneficial
