Job Title: Centre Lathe Operator / Assembler

Location: Coventry

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week (Day Shift)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 12:30

An established Coventry-based engineering company is seeking a moderately skilled Centre Lathe Operator / Assembler to join our production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with foundational machining experience looking to develop their skills with further training.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating manual centre lathes to produce engineering components.
• Assembling mechanical parts and components according to specifications.
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
• Conducting quality checks on your own work to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating a centre lathe.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Proficient in using micrometers and vernier calipers for measurement.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn assembly processes.
