Executive Director – Delay Analysis

Overview

In this role you will lead delay expert witness services for a leading forensic and dispute-resolution practice. You will recruit and develop a team of delay specialists, and provide Expert Witness testimony to premier clients including top law firms, insurers, and corporate entities. You will operate in high-value disputes and contribute to the leadership team in shaping the construction delay and disruption practice. Responsibilities

• Lead delay expert witness services for the firm
• Recruit and develop a team of delay experts and consultants
• Provide Expert Witness testimony to a broad client base
• Work on high-value disputes and arbitrations (often £1BN+)
• Be a key member of the leadership of the business with the head of the advisory team
• Undertake hands-on and strategic leadership of the construction expert witness team
• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues

Key requirements

• Passionate about construction, dispute resolution, and the expert witness sector
• Appointed as a lead Expert Witness in delay
• Experience with cross-examination and understanding the court process
• Degree qualified or chartered with additional qualifications in construction law (ideal)
• Background in planning, engineering, project management, architecture or surveying
• Demonstrated career progression and high technical aptitude
• Comfort with complex, sensitive, and confidential work
• Strong oral and written English communication
