Mechanical Site Manager Required
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a leading M&E subcontractor on a major commercial construction project in the Cambridge area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Mechanical Site Manager to work on a high‑profile development, overseeing the mechanical installation package from site through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site
- Coordinating mechanical subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
- Attending client, contractor and subcontractor meetings
- Managing site health & safety and ensuring compliance with project procedures
- Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager
- Coordinating with electrical and main contractor teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Assisting with commissioning and handover activities
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Site Manager
- Previous experience working for an M&E subcontractor is essential
- Track record delivering large commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
- Ability to drive programmes and manage site teams effectively
