Regional Dealership Accountant – Exeter

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for an experienced Regional Dealership Accountant to join a leading automotive dealership group. Based in Exeter, this role is perfect for a finance professional with a strong background in the motor trade, who is ready to oversee and enhance the financial operations across multiple dealership locations.

Motor trade experience essential.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Regional Dealership Accountant:

• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Develop, monitor, and manage regional dealership budgets and financial forecasts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for multiple dealership locations.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Analyse costs and financial performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee inventory accounting and valuation, including stock levels and asset depreciation.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to dealership management for strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and manage regional cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.
• Utilise financial software and systems to generate reports and analyse financial data.
• Work closely with dealership managers and other financial professionals to align financial strategies with operational goals.

Package:

Basic Salary £60,000 + £6,000 Bonus + Company Car!!

Monday to Friday hours (8:30am – 5:30am)!
