Planning Officer (Development Management) n Midlands n £45-50 per hour (Umbrella) n Initial 3 Month Contract (scope to extend) n n Job Ref – 69368 n n The Role n n This is a delivery-focused role. We are looking for someone who can join the team and make an immediate impact with minimal supervision. n The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of a significant caseload and progress applications through to determination at pace whilst maintaining robust decision making. n The caseload is likely to include: n ·Householder applications n ·Minor applications n ·Rural and agricultural applications n ·Small to medium-scale residential developments n ·Applications generally ranging up to approximately 30 dwellings n ·Pre-application enquiries n ·Appeals and associated casework where required n ·Committee reports where required n n We are looking for someone who: n n ·Is comfortable managing a high caseload n ·Can work independently with minimal support n ·Has strong report-writing skills n ·Can make clear, balanced planning recommendations n ·Has recent experience determining applications rather than managing teams n ·Is motivated by delivery and throughput n ·Experience using Uniform / IDOX is essential. n n n Please call Ryan Williamson on 02393 876226 for a confidential discussion on this role, or email me or our planning team if you are short of time to chat: n RyanWilliamson@carringtonwest.com n Carrington West's dedicated Town Planning Recruitment Team supply clients UK wide on both a permanent and contract basis and all levels of seniority.
