Job overview

Have you got a passion for Haematology? Are you dynamic and compassionate with excellent communications skills? Have you got a desire for Advanced Practice?

The Haematology Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) is a highly experienced and educated clinical professional who has developed their skills and theoretical knowledge to a very high standard. They function as part of the medical team in haematology and oncology care and are empowered to make high-level clinical decisions in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with haematological illness.

The Trust has now moved into Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) and the Haematology Team are looking for an ACP (trainees with haematology experience will be considered) to join our team. The role will include taking an active role in clinics, MDT’s and procedures

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist input to haematology patients

Applicants, once fully trained and qualified will be expected to accurately assess and manage complex patients to a high professional standard, predominantly as an outpatient. There will be an opportunity to undertake critical procedures and be part of our planned straight to test pathway for Lymphomas

You will also have high standards of communication skills to be able to discuss patients and their care with a wide range of different members of the MDT, including the patients parent consultant team.

Work alongside the wider Haematology team to ensure the best care is provided to our patients.

Our values – Ambition, Respect and Compassion – are at the heart of who we are. They guide us every step of the way; how we work with each other, and how we look after our patients and their families; how we respect and value the rich diversity of our team and our community.
