Senior Python Specialist – Trading pod

Overview

In this role you will implement and extend the firm’s trading software to support systematic strategies in rates and FX. You will collaborate closely with research to design and analyze automated trading algorithms and scale the firm’s infrastructure for new business lines. You will expand the proprietary research platform to support new exchanges and products, delivering solid production-grade Python systems. Responsibilities

• Extend existing infrastructure to support new systematic trading strategies in rates and FX
• Collaborate with research to architect, implement and analyze automated trading algorithms
• Build and engineer software infrastructure to support existing and new lines of business
• Expand the proprietary research platform for new exchanges, products and functionality
• Deliver production-grade Python code with robust integration to databases and data stores
• Support and improve data handling for time series with varying frequency and time zones

Key requirements

• Expert in production-quality Python coding with numpy, pandas, scipy, statsmodels
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into engineering concepts
• Experience with SQLAlchemy and SQL databases, proficient with Redis and Docker
• Knowledge of fixed income products and terminology
• Experience with time series data, time zone handling, and derivatives constructs
• Git version control experience and GitLab deployment processes
• Experience with FIX is advantageous
