AI & Matter Pricing Senior Advisor

Overview

In this role you lead the firm’s pricing approach for complex matters, including AI-assisted delivery, advising partners on innovative pricing strategies and financial modelling to support commercially strong outcomes. You embed advanced pricing capabilities across Finance and the wider business, strengthening governance and best practice. You collaborate across Legal, Legal Tech, Finance and PM teams to craft compelling proposals and guide negotiations. You’ll shape pricing for high‑impact, technology-enabled matters in a global context, driving measurable value for clients and the firm.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Legal, Legal Tech, Finance, Matter Optimisation and Legal Project Management to develop commercial proposals for complex, AI-enabled matters
• Build bespoke financial models and pricing scenarios supporting negotiations and alternative fee arrangements
• Create and maintain standardised pricing models and tools for common complex scenarios to improve consistency and response times
• Project manage the financial aspects of proposals, coordinating stakeholders and milestones with governance requirements
• Guide fee proposals through internal approvals, strengthening pricing governance and best practices
• Advise Partners on pricing strategy and commercial terms, engaging with clients when needed for sustainable outcomes
• Ensure pricing and fee arrangements are documented and implemented in firm systems coordinating with lawyers and billers
• Drive pricing capability development through market analysis, training, and testing AI use cases within pricing

Key requirements

• Minimum of three years in a pricing role, ideally in legal or professional services
• Proactive, self-motivated with ownership of key work areas
• Strong commercial awareness and client-focused mindset
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement under pressure
• Collaborative and flexible with multidisciplinary, global teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across a range of stakeholders
