Overview

A West Midlands local authority is setting up a new transformation function to speed up change across its services. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take control of a programme, bring structure where it’s missing, and get services behind the change rather than impose it on them.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Experience leading change programmes within a local authority (council)
• A strong track record of programme management in complex, multi-stakeholder settings
• Confidence with structured, governance-led delivery (PRINCE2/MSP or similar)
• A natural instinct to ask “why?”, and the confidence to challenge existing ways of working constructively
• Excellent stakeholder skills, including influencing senior leaders and bringing services along with the change
