Frontend Engineer, Amazon Advertising – Brand Innovation Lab

Overview

As a Front-End Engineer in the Brand Innovation Lab, you will transform proven advertising experiences into scalable, reusable frontend solutions using React and TypeScript. You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle, from design to deployment, improving quality, performance, and security while reducing technical debt. You’ll collaborate with design technologists, UX, product, and partner teams to translate concepts into production-ready components and templates. This role offers the chance to shape how world-class brands experience ads at scale and with reliability.

Responsibilities

• Transform ad experiences into scalable, reusable components, templates, and shared frameworks.
• Design and deliver frontend features using React and TypeScript across the full software lifecycle.
• Improve quality, reliability, performance, accessibility, and security by root-cause analysis and durable fixes.
• Collaborate with Design Technologists, UX, Product, and engineering teams to implement scalable experiences and API integrations.
• Enhance development and operational processes through automation, testing, code reviews, and maintainable patterns.
• On-call duties in rotation with other Front-End Engineers/Design Technologists.

Key requirements

• HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node proficiency
• Experience in professional frontend development
• Experience across the software development lifecycle (design, implement, test, deploy, maintain)
• Ability to write maintainable, tested production code and diagnose defects
• Knowledge of frontend performance, accessibility, browser compatibility, and web security
• Experience with source control, code reviews, and modern workflows
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, or other tech stakeholders
