Overview

As an Employment Solicitor in a leading Shropshire firm, you will advise on a full range of employment matters for both employers and employees, in contentious and non-contentious contexts. You’ll draft and negotiate contracts, policies, and settlement agreements, and represent clients at tribunals while contributing to business development. You will work in a dynamic team, stay abreast of legislative changes, and deliver high-quality client care. This role offers impact through policy shaping, training, and growth of the employment practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on employment law issues for both employers and employees (contentious and non-contentious)
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
• Represent clients at tribunals and employment-related hearings
• Conduct legal research and stay updated with legislative changes
• Contribute to business development and growth of the practice area

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor
• 3+ PQE in employment law with experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with diverse client base
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
• Experience delivering Employment Law training would be an advantage
