Associate – Agribusiness

Overview

In this role you join Mills & Reeve’s Real Estate Group in Norwich to work on agribusiness real estate matters. You’ll handle sales, purchases, and advisory work for farms and rural land, plus related financing, tenancies, partnerships, and trust property matters. You’ll engage with farmers, landowners, trustees, and advisers, building lasting client relationships. The opportunity combines hands-on property work with training to deepen expertise in agricultural and rural estates, renewable energy, and strategic land. Responsibilities

• Manage acquisitions, disposals, and advisory work for farms, landed estates, and agricultural land
• Handle refinancing transactions for landowners and rural businesses
• Oversee agricultural, rural and business tenancies; farming partnerships; trust-related property matters
• Contribute to complex farm and estate registrations and rural land development schemes
• Support renewable energy and natural capital projects; mineral leases as required
• Assist with client relationship management and marketing of the practice within the team
• Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated real estate services
• Develop expertise through training and hands-on experience in agricultural property work and general commercial property work

Key requirements

• 1–5 years PQE in real estate (agribusiness/property) or related field
• Enthusiasm for building client and advisor relationships
• Strong time and matter management with a systematic approach
• Attention to detail; proactive team player; drive to see tasks through
• Excellent communication and written English; clear drafting; negotiation skills
• Good academics; IT literacy; numeracy
• Ability to conduct research using online sources and AI where appropriate
