Offshore HSEQ Advisor

Overview

As Offshore HSEQ Advisor, you guide the drilling team to stay compliant with health, safety and environment regulations and company procedures. You’ll lead safety culture on the offshore platform, ensuring incidents are properly investigated and actions tracked. You will support the platform and asset teams with risk-based decisions and continuous improvement of HSES practices. This role offers hands-on leadership in a high-stakes, technical offshore environment and a direct link to regulatory and corporate safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe working practices and ensure regulatory compliance with HSES procedures
• Lead and participate in audits; coordinate with Assurance Team for audit delivery
• Provide active safety leadership on-site and build trust with the workforce
• Lead offshore delivery and training for HSE programmes (Learning Organisation, Personal Safety Involvement, Life Saving Rules, Safety Focus Days, Management Safety Reviews, ER Planning)
• Coordinate with Environmental and Occupational Hygiene Advisors to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
• Keep OIM and asset teams informed of current regulation and guidance
• Support platform management and offshore safety representatives; act as a communication focal point
• Provide coaching on Synergi / COMET; lead investigations when requested
• Monitor the quality and closure of incident investigations and identify trends
• Serve as Offshore Focal Point for Corporate & Regulatory Inspections
• Participate in emergency response as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma / BOHS Dip OH or equivalents (preferable)
• Corporate member of a professional body with CPD
• Proficiency with Synergi and COMET (and other HSES systems)
• Understanding of Major Accident Prevention and risk assessment/risk management
• Collaborative, listening, and coaching abilities
• UK offshore certification (required)
