In this role you lead a Europe-based editorial team to deliver fast headlines, context-rich analysis, and high-impact scoops across sovereign and corporate debt, currencies, and digital assets. You coordinate across Asia-Pacific and Americas teams to ensure seamless, timely coverage for professional audiences, including Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. You shape coverage strategy, maintain high standards, and explore responsible AI use to enhance workflow. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of reporters to deliver fast headlines, quick stories, context-rich analysis, and high-impact scoops
• Manage seamless coverage handoffs from Asia-Pacific teams into the Americas’ business day
• Rapidly assess, edit, and publish breaking news with judgment, speed, accuracy, and ethics
• Collaborate with reporters and editors across regions and groups
• Utilize publishing systems and technology to enhance speed and cross-team communication
• Properly code and tag headlines and content for various channels and digital platforms
• Navigate guardrails around AI while exploring its potential for internal and external use

Key requirements

• Demonstrable track record leading editorial teams to deliver impactful outcomes
• Deep financial knowledge to prioritize breaking news across sovereign/corporate debt, currencies, digital assets, and broader markets
• Sharp writing and editing skills (tone, structure, style, accuracy, balance, fairness)
• Strong understanding of newsroom workflows, digital/print platforms, and professional audience needs
• Advanced proficiency with digital publishing systems and newsroom technologies
• Ability to remain calm, decisive, and focused under pressure
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
