Associate Director – Planner – Defence

In this role, you will lead planning and project controls for high-profile defence infrastructure programmes, setting and maintaining control standards while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll serve as the main planning contact within the South West Defence team, shaping schedules, risk management, and earned value practices to deliver on time and within cost. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Project Controls processes for the programme or subdivision
• Oversee day-to-day planning staff and resources
• Implement Integrated Project Controls standards and processes
• Coordinate all Project Controls activities across design, manufacture, construction and commissioning
• Act as the key point of contact for Project Planning within the P3M South West Defence team and report updates to Regional Discipline Lead

Key requirements

• Extensive planning and scheduling experience including schedule development, control, and analysis
• Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start-up processes
• Subject Matter Expert in Project Controls & Planning with Earned Value Management, risk management and NEC Contract
• Degree qualification in a construction-related subject preferred
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of the role where applicable
