Blockchain / DLT Developer

Overview

As a Blockchain Developer at MACH, you design and deploy distributed ledger and smart contract solutions for financial services clients across Ethereum, Hedera, Algorand, and MACH Chain. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to build secure, scalable on-chain apps and contribute to protocol-level improvements. You’ll stay current with the latest blockchain developments and mentor junior teammates. This role offers hands-on impact in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with a focus on secure, high-performance distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts and DApps across Ethereum, Hedera, Algorand, and MACH Chain
• Tailor blockchain solutions to client requirements in financial services
• Contribute to MACH Chain protocol improvements and tooling
• Collaborate with backend engineers, architects, and product managers to integrate blockchain components with platform services and APIs
• Conduct rigorous smart contract auditing, testing, and optimisation for security and gas efficiency
• Stay current with Ethereum (EVM/L2), Hedera Hashgraph, Algorand, and broader DLT developments
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and support knowledge sharing
• Engage with project managers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and support delivery
• Contribute to continuous improvement of MACH’s development processes, standards, and tooling

Key requirements

• Experience with security tokens on distributed ledgers
• Hands-on experience deploying smart contracts on Ethereum (Solidity) and familiarity with Hedera (Solidity/HTS) or Algorand (PyTEAL/TEAL/ARC)
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals (consensus, cryptography, tokenomics, architectures)
• Experience with Web3 libraries (Web3.js, Ethers.js) or equivalents for Hedera/Algorand
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Node.js, Python, Go, Java) and RESTful/event-driven API design
• Familiarity with blockchain toolchains (Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry)
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on security and edge-case reasoning
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
