Overview

In this role you help residents achieve health and fitness goals by delivering welcoming gym sessions, inductions, and safe exercise support. You’ll deliver inclusive fitness programs for adults and juniors and support specialist sessions to foster a culturally sensitive environment. Work across our leisure centres to maintain high service standards and contribute to community health initiatives. You will collaborate with a friendly, customer-focused team to make active living accessible for all.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, welcoming gym presence and deliver inductions
• Support members to exercise safely and confidently
• Develop engaging fitness programmes for adults and juniors
• Deliver specialist fitness sessions and inclusive, culturally sensitive activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain clean, safe gym and studio spaces
• Contribute to high-quality customer experiences across centres

Key requirements

• CIMSPA Accredited Level 2 Gym Instructor
• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a diverse environment
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Strong communication skills and ability to motivate customers
• Experience in membership sales and retention
• Good numerical and written skills
• Flexible approach to working hours
