Associate Director – Deal Execution – Integration & Separation

Overview

As an Associate Director, you lead Deal Execution engagements at pace, delivering high‑quality client work and coordinating with senior stakeholders. You will manage multi‑stream work across pre and post‑deal phases, shaping engagement strategy, budget, and delivery plans. Your leadership guides cross‑functional teams, ensuring value delivery, risk control, and commercial focus. This is a chance to influence complex transactions and help clients realize strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Deal Execution engagements and client interactions
• Oversee initial and final deliverables ahead of partner review
• Plan Day 1 readiness and post‑deal implementation activities
• Manage multiple workstreams and engagement budgets
• Coordinate with Directors/Partners on engagement strategy
• Directly lead and mentor engagement teams
• Balance commercial considerations with risk and quality in deliverables
• Deploy Deal Execution and DA technology to enhance delivery

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in a leading strategy house, Big 4, public sector, or in‑house strategy/development
• Track record of leading complex projects with multi‑disciplinary teams
• Experience in high‑value business development and senior stakeholder engagement
• Ability to build and commercialise relationships with senior executives
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and structured thinking skills
• Credible communication with C‑level clients
• Ability to distill large data sets into strategic insights
• Sound financial acumen and risk management awareness
