School Cleaner

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious cleaner with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and a responsible approach to ensuring classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and shared areas are kept clean, safe and welcoming. Trustworthy, punctual and respectful, with an understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school, office, care or public environment.

• Good communication skills and willingness to undertake relevant training.

• Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene and health & safety.

• Good attention to detail; able to follow instructions and work to agreed cleaning schedules.

• Physically fit and able to carry out cleaning duties safely.

• Friendly, professional and respectful towards pupils, staff and visitors.

• Understanding of safeguarding and the responsibilities of working in a school is desirable.

• A recognised cleaning qualification is desirable but not essential.
