Overview

In this role, you will provide senior operational leadership for the Housing & Property Team, guiding commercial management, contract management, and related surveying functions across council assets. You will support transformation initiatives and ensure delivery of statutory and high-profile services, often outside standard hours. Your leadership will influence how housing and property services are organized and improved to benefit residents and communities. Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across commercial management, contract management, quantity surveying and cost consultancy for council assets
• Coordinate across housing and property services to deliver statutory responsibilities and high-profile initiatives
• Support transformation and improvement projects within the Housing & Assets Property Group
• Adapt to flexible working requirements to meet operational demands
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to manage budgets and assets effectively

Key requirements

• Senior operational leadership experience in housing and property services
• Ability to oversee commercial management, contract management, quantity surveying and cost consultancy
• Flexibility to work outside normal office hours as required
• Proven ability to lead through change and support transformation initiatives
