Data Transformation Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a major data transformation initiative within a leading insurance organisation, guiding the Enterprise Data Platform adoption and delivering measurable business value. You will collaborate with business, IT and data teams to align initiatives with strategic objectives and drive change across the data ecosystem. The position offers hybrid London-based work and a focus on governance, quality, and value realization from data and AI. You will shape delivery across planning, delivery, and governance, helping the business realise data-driven outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the data transformation roadmap aligned to business value
• Lead large-scale data transformation projects from planning to delivery
• Support implementation and adoption of the Enterprise Data Platform
• Collaborate with business, IT and data teams to define requirements and deliverables
• Track value delivered through data and AI initiatives
• Manage project risks, resources, budgets, and milestones
• Drive change management and adoption of new data capabilities
• Ensure strong data governance, quality, and compliance standards

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing large-scale data transformation programmes
• Experience delivering transformation in complex enterprise environments
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS and enterprise data architecture
• Strong understanding of data management, governance, quality, and compliance
• Experience managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle
• Excellent stakeholder management across business, IT, and data teams
• Experience driving change and adoption of new data platforms or capabilities
• Desirable: Insurance or financial services experience
• Understanding of the data value chain and business value of data
