Overview

In this contract role, you will own and maintain the SharePoint Server Subscription Edition platform for a leading London law firm. You will partner with infrastructure, security and application teams to ensure platform stability, governance, and compliance. The role centers on maintenance, optimisation and support rather than development, with some travel to London for stakeholder work. You’ll influence platform strategy and roadmap while delivering a robust, business-critical collaboration environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for the SharePoint Server Subscription Edition platform
• Maintain health, performance and availability of the SharePoint environment
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve platform issues
• Perform platform upgrades, patching and configuration management
• Manage security, permissions and governance
• Support business and technical teams with platform-related queries and improvements
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application teams to ensure stability and compliance
• Contribute to future platform strategy, best practice and roadmap planning

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting and administering SharePoint Server Subscription Edition
• Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, farm administration and platform maintenance
• Experience with patching, upgrades, backup and recovery
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS and PowerShell
• Experience managing SharePoint security, permissions and governance
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues
