Contracts Manager

Overview

In this role you will manage Mitie Landscapes’ NTY & NTS region, overseeing Grounds Maintenance and winter services. You will lead an operational team, drive growth and profitability, and embed a culture of health and safety. You will ensure efficient use of resources and provide excellent customer service, including out-of-hours support. The position requires agile working and seasonality, with a focus on regional performance and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations in Grounds Maintenance and winter services for the region
• Develop growth and profitable operation of the area
• Lead and develop an operational team
• Implement a positive health and safety culture
• Improve efficiency and utilization of resources
• Prioritise people management and development
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Support out-of-hours customer service as needed
• Represent Mitie in internal and external meetings
• Adapt to flexible working, especially in winter

Key requirements

• Experience in the horticultural/landscaping industry
• Previous supervisory/management experience
• Strong understanding of operational IT systems
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems and safe work practices
• Able to represent the company in meetings
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Flexible working, especially during winter
