Senior Network Systems Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and deliver secure enterprise network solutions across diverse customer environments, guiding projects from requirements through implementation and ongoing optimization. You will own complex networking challenges and contribute to broader infrastructure and transformation initiatives. Expect to work on LAN/WAN, routing, security and cloud integration with Azure, collaborating with customers and internal teams to produce robust, scalable designs. Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve enterprise network infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless environments
• Work with routing technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) across multi-site LAN/WAN
• Integrate networking with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
• Produce high-level and detailed technical designs
• Support major incidents and drive preventive maintenance and service improvement
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and recommend solutions

Key requirements

• Substantial commercial experience designing and supporting enterprise networks
• Around five+ years in networking, infrastructure or systems engineering
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS
• Excellent troubleshooting and clear communication skills
• Experience producing technical documentation, designs and implementation plans
• Beneficial exposure to Fortinet, SonicWall or Meraki
• Knowledge of Windows Server, DNS, RADIUS and PKI; Azure networking beneficial
