Operations Manager Property Maintenance

Overview

In this role you will lead the Property Maintenance function within Dudley Council’s Housing and Property Team, driving high-quality upkeep of residential and non-residential properties. You’ll oversee a multidisciplinary team and coordinate across responsive repairs, caretaking, facilities and estates services, aligning with council transformation goals. The role demands flexible hours and resilience to respond to operational demands beyond standard hours. You will contribute to shaping critical housing and property services to benefit residents and communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary team responsible for property maintenance across residential and non-residential assets
• Oversee responsive repairs and maintenance, caretaking, facilities management, estates maintenance and waste management
• Provide strategic oversight across related service areas and report to the Associate Director Acquisitions, Compliance & Maintenance
• Support transformation initiatives within housing and assets/property group
• Operate with flexibility to meet statutory responsibilities and out-of-hours needs
