Delivery Lead / Project Manager

Overview

In this Delivery Lead role, you will steer complex technology and business change within a large banking environment, coordinating across Technology, Business and Architecture. You’ll translate strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans and guide cross-technology delivery with senior stakeholders. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days on-site in Edinburgh or London, and focuses on end-to-end outcomes rather than a single technology domain. You’ll shape programmes from early stages and help drive transformation at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technology and business transformation programmes
• Partner with Technology and Business stakeholders to define and deliver programme outcomes
• Collaborate with Architects and senior stakeholders to set delivery strategy and direction
• Translate strategic objectives into delivery plans, milestones and outcomes
• Manage delivery across multiple technology areas, teams and dependencies
• Build credible stakeholder relationships across the organisation
• Govern risks, issues, dependencies and governance with proper escalation
• Provide clear reporting on progress, priorities and challenges
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments and bring structure where needed
• Adopt a pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivery and issue resolution

Key requirements

• Experience as a Delivery Lead, Senior Project Manager or Technology Programme Manager
• Track record delivering large-scale technology transformations from a programme perspective
• Experience delivering across multiple technology disciplines (not limited to Cloud or Infrastructure)
• Strong strategic delivery background in early-stage programme shaping
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building and influencing skills
• Comfort with complex, fast-moving environments and ambiguity
• Strong understanding of Digital and Cloud technology transformation
• Delivery governance, risk management and problem-solving capabilities
• Banking domain experience preferred (High Street/Retail; Digital & Mobile Banking; Cards/Loans; Mortgages)
• Experience in Financial Planning and/or Wealth Management advantageous
